Alex is a queer and trans acrylic painter whose work explores the intersections of mental disability, queerness, and identity through surreal and abstract styles. With over five years of experience, their art delves into themes of trauma, joy, self-love, and relationships, using vibrant colours, texture, and fluid techniques like dripping and blending. Inspired by artists such as Frida Kahlo and Mark Rothko, Alex’s work embraces absurdity and emotion, creating space for diverse queer perspectives. Their art has been displayed at The Penticton Art Gallery for the Gifts of Madness exhibit, and they share their creations via Instagram @lexminerva7
